In addition to his work at the Star, his photographs have appeared in many international publications as well as books, posters, shows and CD covers. He has won local, national, and international awards for his photography. He also teaches photojournalism at Centennial College and lectures regularly to clubs and organizations. Richard currently lives in downtown Toronto with his wife, two children and two big, hairy dogs.

Susan Dobson

Susan Dobson’s artwork has been exhibited across Canada and in the U.S., the U.K., and Mexico. In 2006 she lectured on her work at the National Arts Centre in Mexico and at the University of Barcelona in Spain, and was interviewed for the Canadian documentary film Radiant City. Her work has been published in numerous periodicals and books including Toronto Life, Saturday Night, The Globe and Mail, and The National Post, as well as in the photographic compendium Carte Blanche, and in Massive Change. She has won two gold national magazine awards, as well as numerous grants and awards from the Ontario Arts Council and the Canada Council for the Arts. April Hickox

April Hickox is a photo based artist, teacher, and independent curator. She has been a practicing artist for over 25 years and is currently represented by the Leo Kamen Gallery in Toronto. Often taking the form of a narrative, her photography, film, and installation work is based on ideas of the passage from one experience to another in the life process encompassing history, memory, our sense of place, and communication or voice. April’s work has been exhibited widely; her most recent exhibitions include Revealing the Subject at the Oakville Galleries –a commissioned installation accompanied by an interpretive DVD for the art Gallery of Windsor and a solo exhibition at the Leo Kamen Gallery entitled Landscape and Memory. In addition to over twenty years of artistic production, April has taught photography, printmaking, and professional practices at Ryerson Polytechnic University and at the Ontario College of Art and Design. Currently, she is the Chair of the Photography department at The Ontario College of Arts and Design, teaching in both the third and fourth year programs.
